Evaluation 4 - Who would be the audience for your media product?
Evaluation 4: Who would be the audience for your media product?
There are particular stereotypes which I have chosen to challenge by the target audience I have chosen for example, Che Monet grew up and lived in south London. South London is viewed as a semi deprived area with a lot of gang violence and crime. By showing this stereotype I challenge it by showing that not all people especially those who fall between the ages of 15-21. I also chose to use a female model because men are constantly applauded for being so strong however women are put done due to the nurturing side of them, this is a problem in society and even the women are starting to put each other down. By having a young women on the front cover, this is supposed to show empowerment and encourage the people with similar characteristics to do better and aspire for a career in order to change this stereotype, especially since she is in the hip hop industry . This is dominated by men and to have a new artist who is a female makes a difference. From my audience profile I had chosen a black girl from the Caribbean. They have certain characteristics that need to be challenged because black girls are often pushed aside for the ‘light skinned girls’ (mixed race) and to have a dark skinned girl on the page would represent them. The people who will read my magazine will have an interest in music which means that they will understand the conventions and will follow the magazine to keep updated. in summary the audience for the media product would be
- 15 to 21 year olds
- live in south London , due to the slang
- young women
- Black women
- People with musical interest

Problems with the contents page and double page spread.
unfortunately , I have a good enough draft for a contents page or double page spread due to the technical issues that were found on the schools computers. This has resulted in not being able to get feedback on the first draft.
