Front cover Masthead: For my mock up magazine, my masthead will go at the top of the page because it is easy form my audience to recognise the brand. Image: The image I have chosen is Nicki Minaj from the king magazine front cover,I have used this picture because you can easily identify this as a hip hop/R&B magazine. she is looking directly at the camera which is direct address, this makes the audience feel more in touch and involved with the magazine. Convergences:there are social media icons that allow the target audience to get involved and to follow them so that they are up to date with the latest gossip and music etc.
contents page Page number: the pages numbers are there so that the consumers can buy the magazine and head start to the page of their interest first rather than going through the whole magazine just to get to it. image: this is still a picture of magazine as she is the most important person in the magazine therefore it only makes sense that she will be on the contents page to remind the audience that she is the main person.
Double page spread on the double page spread there will be pull quotes which will be on the front cover as well this is to entice the reader into reading more into the story, the double page spread will be in columns as this is typical of the magazines and it is easier to read because it doesn't look as if there is massive amount of reading to do .
